I became interested in the 2012 phenomenon over the last few years as more and more of my clients revealed similarities concerning fear and worry about recently losing their jobs and relationships, global chaos and dysfunction, foundations breaking down, as well as having similar physical symptoms like new aches and pains, loss of sleep, break-outs, weight loss or gain, heightened intuition, etc.
Was there a connection to the coming 2012 “shift of energies” I kept hearing about? This led me to research this infamous date in greater detail and discover what will happen in 2012.

There has been a lot going on regarding the 2012 prophecy including the disaster movie 2012 I mentioned above , but surprisingly, not much information about what is really supposed to happen on that date is available.
Most information available is making reference to mass destruction of the world as we know it, the Earth’s pole shift/magnetic field reversal, Nostradamus predictions, a comet hitting the Earth, etc.
The base of all the predictions is the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012, which is supposed to mean the end of the world or a period of radical changes.
Astronomy tells us that on the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way (home of planet Earth) for the first time in about 26,000 years. This special alignment means that the usual energy that typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 2012 at 11:11 A.M. Universal Time.
For many, 2012 is their expected "end of the world"—but just how it ends, or what that end means, depends on whom you ask. Some are predicting that a devastating worldwide flood will occur that year. Others anticipate a cataclysmic disruption of the earth’s magnetic field. Some even predict that the earth itself will flip in space, suddenly switching poles or rotating in the opposite direction. Still others foresee solar flares scarring the earth’s surface, or forces from this rare "galactic alignment" wreaking unpredictable havoc on our planet.
Another group of 2012 devotees fervently believes that the governments and scientists of the world are hiding information about a coming planet or small star that will collide or nearly collide with the earth in 2012!
Yet, on the other side of the 2012 frenzy, there are some who expect December 21, 2012 to usher in an "evolution" of mankind—a new era of peace, love and happiness that will be nothing short of the "Age of Aquarius" sung about in the hippie counter-cultural musical Hair! This new age of enlightenment, depending on your source, may involve contact with extraterrestrial beings, extra-dimensional intelligences, or the widespread acceptance of mind-altering drugs and hallucinogens as part of the expected "galactic alignment."
