The Law of Attraction teaches us that everything is energy – everything! So at its most basic form, everyone and everything is energy. This energy is the source of all we see and experience. Everything and everyone is a unique facet of this source energy. Some cultures call this source energy “God.”
In the beginning there is only God. God is everywhere – in all universes and galaxies. God is everything – all possibility. There is only God and all is God; the earth, the heavens, the planets, the galaxies, the universes – everything exists in the Mind of God – all of it. Did God create it with a magical poof and there it was, or did God create a Big Bang to get things going? How many days this took is anyone’s guess, and it really doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is: God is All-That-Is and His/Her/It’s name is “Creation.” The Mind of God is “consciousness” and we all share this One consciousness.
So, what happened in the beginning? You know, that “beginning” that is taught in the Old Testament. Who are we and why are we here? First of all, there was no beginning as such for “time” does not exist in the Mind of God. Time and space are really a convenience created by man to experience the physical or material plane. I’m sure you can identify with standing in a long line and time standing still, and when you’re caught up in an activity you enjoy time flies. So, if time is anything, it is man’s perception of space and the duration from the start of something to the end of it.
God or Source Energy always was, always is, and always will be, so the words, “In the beginning” from the Bible, is really the start of man’s story. “Time” started when man separated from God and became an individualized facet of Source Energy.
But the ultimate truth is there is only God and everything is God. All is One, always and forever. We are one with the One – a part of the One, and not apart from the One.
Who/what is God? How can our limited minds describe God with something as limiting as language? I’ll give it a try. God is: the All-That-Is, the Mind-Force, the Energy, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, the Source, the Universal Force, the Father, the Mother, the Whole, Creation, the Essence of Life, the One, and the First Cause.
“All” in its most basic form is God. All power and matter are of the One and the manifestation of Creation is based on the force of the Universal Laws of Attraction and Repulsion as well as the movement of the positive and negative frequency vibrations that are the basis of the Universe. The interaction of the positive and negative forces becomes the power of Creation. The atom, made up of negative electrons revolving with positive protons, is the building block of materiality. Keep this in mind as we discuss our deliberate use of the Law of Attraction a little later in this article.
How can All-That-Is experience Itself other than All-That-Is? In order to interact and experience another, God created trillions of Souls by duplicating Itself as many “ones within the One” for all Souls were created in the beginning, and as I stated previously, the beginning was the moment we separated from God.
God is ALL and all of us became different points of focus for God to experience Itself – all of us are focal points of One! In order to experience Itself, the One became the Many. God needed a reference point to experience Itself. We are the reference point – the companions. God created these manifestations – these Sparks of Itself – to experience Itself in countless ways. One Being and many Parts capable of ‘pretending’ to be other than One while still being One. A drop in an ocean comes to mind. The drop and the ocean are the same and yet they’re not.
These Sparks of God or Souls, as some use the term, also possessed free will and reason. What would be the point otherwise? There must be free will to be a point of focus. Each Soul’s first thought, first reaction, and first expression were slightly different from those of all the others. Thus by each thought and experience, each of these Sparks became unique individuals and each activity, each individual idea or motive, became a unique part of the entity.
All Souls were created from/of God, so all Souls have the Divine Spark of God at the center of their beings. This Spark is the true “us” and not the human bodies we use. We’ve heard it before and it’s another ultimate truth: we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our “bodies” are like a car and we are driving it. Our bodies are the costumes we are wearing. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
When we were created, all Souls were perfect, sexless manifestations of Source Energy and enjoyed a spiritual life in a spiritual existence. All Souls knew themselves to be a part of God, completely aware of the Spark of God within them, and companions of the Father as they were intended to be; a part of the Oneness yet aware of being separate and independent entities. This spiritual existence we enjoyed could be defined as Paradise or Heaven. As Sparks of the One, we are indeed Children of God – gods with the ability to create.
“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” Psalms 82: 6
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” John 10:34
And so, in the beginning, each one of us was the One – the dark, the light, the stars and planets. We were spirit-energy or vibrational frequencies creating in the physical density of matter and we enjoyed co-creating with the Father/Mother. We were like the curious toddler innocently playing at creation and some of us even strayed from the plan God had laid by testing our creative strengths without direction. This act of straying is a nice way of saying rebelling against the Will of God.
Many Souls so loved the blissful experience of their conscious oneness with God, they chose to remain always attuned to God’s will. They chose to remain always in harmony with their Divine inner guidance. To them, God was all they desired or needed. All the knowledge and information, and all the Divine Love they desired were always available to them. Souls who lived in harmony with the Spark of God within them resonated with the eternal and unconditional Love and Will of God.
Our consciousness allowed us to experience the All. We discovered new and different things from the highest dimensional densities to the lowest vibrational frequencies of the material plane and other solar systems.
And, as I said, the will of the Souls were not always the Will of the Father and desire gave birth to that which was opposed to Goodness and the beginning of the end of Perfection. The connection to Divine Will was lost due to our free will choices and only by our free will choices could we return to Perfection/Heaven. This brought some of us to the Earth, while others chose to experience planets in other realms.
The plant and animal kingdom were already thriving on Earth. They were governed by the Universal Laws of the One. All was built upon theses Principles which became known as music, mathematics and geometry – harmony, system and balance. Changing the rate of vibration – the wavelength and the frequency – movements, patterns, and substances came into being. This was the beginning of the Law of Diversity, which supplied endless designs for the Universal Pattern and each design carried within itself its own plan of growth and evolution.
Some Souls wanted to experience creation first hand by inhabiting existing rocks, plants, and animal bodies in the third dimension. We wanted to experience what physical life might be like with the five physical senses. At first this experimenting with physical life was just a temporary experience – to see how physical life felt. It was as if we were playing a harmless new game and we made up the rules as we went along.
Souls coming to the Earth had no idea of what to expect and nothing to compare the experience of physicality to. But, we found such pleasure playing in this time-space of the Earth. And then with the power of our creative minds, we projected ourselves into bodies we ‘thought-formed’ into existence. After all, we were Creator-Gods and could create anything we could imagine (we still can). We were able to occupy different bodies, coming and going at will, for thousands and thousands of years.
However, some Souls inhabited the thought-form bodies too long, and after a while, personal attachments to the animal bodies developed and animal habit patterns grew. We had no way of knowing that as soon as our thought-creations came into existence and our Souls occupied them, we would lose awareness of anything beyond our new bodies. It became more and more difficult to remember how to return to our Divine Oneness again, because in order to play in the third dimension, one must lower their vibration, which meant lowering our consciousness… and forgetting our true nature.
In time, Souls became totally entrapped in the lower consciousness of the third dimensional bodies we occupied, having no awareness of our entrapment and no idea how to find our way back to Perfection. We started to identify with the material bodies we inhabited instead of remembering the Divine Beings we were and our spiritual connection to the One.
Now we were on the other side of the veil, cut off from the consciousness of the One, and experiencing the body-consciousness of our mixed creations. We were originally Divine Beings and now identified with the bodies we inhabited. The Souls who became entrapped in matter were known as the “Sons and Daughters of Men” mentioned in the Bible. With the loss of All-Conscious awareness and the connection to All, we began to believe that the body and its personality was the true self. Eventually, we lost all conscious memory of who we truly were and how to return to Divine Oneness. Our Souls were hopelessly entrapped in the lower consciousness of the personality-minds of the bodies which we now identified with and we believed we were separate from everyone and everything else.
By magnifying self-will and independence, the self-centeredness of the “ego” came into being. Ego is a thought system based on the illusion of separateness, fear, selfishness, and death. It was this turning away from God's Will that brought about the downfall, the separation, the duality, the end of the state of perfection, and metaphorically, our banishment from Paradise. This separation would be known as the “Fall of the Angels,” and the beginning of the separate-self.
With new physical bodies, entrapped Souls began to learn what the existing animals of Earth already knew ─ animal ways: fear, selfishness, and self-centeredness. Survival of the fittest is the focus in the animal world as well as in the ego-centered mind. This attachment to the physical necessitated a division of the mind and resulted in the three phases of thought-process: the conscious, the subconscious, and the super-conscious. These are not three distinct minds, but rather, they are the functions of the One mind at three different levels.
Physicality required the stepping down of our unlimitedness to use the limited senses of sight, taste, touch, smell, and hearing. In reality, man always retains, even unknowingly, the sixth, seventh and eighth senses, which are the psychic or extrasensory factors of the Soul, but these gradually receded into the background as man entered more and more into matter.
We began to think with the new physical body’s brain, the ego-mind, or conscious mind of the mortal body to which we had attached, rather than using our higher Divine Mind, the super-consciousness. Before stepping down and lowering our vibration to exist in the third dimension, our Soul's higher mind had allowed each of us to receive Divine intuitional guidance. Consequently our “physicality” caused us to identify with the egoic separate-self and the body’s mind.
We learned to feel fear because we soon learned we were mortal – that is, we realized we grew old and died. We believed this part of us we identified with, the ego, would no longer exist! We also learned to develop personal feelings, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, judgments, and took actions based on our physical environment and our experiences. In our original Divine state, our feelings consisted of an impersonal, unconditional Love for all Life. Now fear and our lowered vibrational consciousness brought selfishness and self-love with little regard for anyone or anything else.
So, how does this information helps us concerning our deliberate use of something we call, The Law of Attraction? The real “secret” to deliberately using the Law of Attraction, and our success concerning same, is determined by the beliefs we hold. As I illustrate the following, keep in mind what we’ve already learned: we are Sparks of Source Energy having a human experience – gods incarnate.
We think we know ‘who’ we are and we think we know ‘where’ we are because of what we believe. The beliefs we have, or “programming” as I like to call it, begins early on as our parents, nationalities, cultures, religions, and schools install beliefs into our body’s conscious mind. As we grow older, life experience adds to the thoughts and feelings we have about who we are and how things are. Our belief systems are the filter we use to make sense of our existence.
But, these are not our beliefs at all. And our life experiences are really just perceptions we come to believe as truth. We are simply adopting someone else’s “truth” ─ things someone we loved told us or that someone in authority told us and we agreed was true. But, we are not our bodies! We are not our names! We are not our race, creed, family, nationality, or sex. People identify with their job, their income, their beliefs and their personalities. But, “we” are none of these things. We are not our bodies, for our bodies are merely the vehicle we occupy; the real ‘I AM’ is the operator of the body – the driver – the one who inhabits it.
Thinking we are our bodies has caused the disconnection from what we really are. This kind of thinking, and our identification with our bodies, has caused us to become separated from the real “us.” Identification with the body causes the feeling of loneliness – the “me” here and everyone and everything “out there” aloneness. Look at how we fool ourselves with that word aloneness when we should be saying All-Oneness.
No, the body is not you or me. The physical body is a fantastic biological computer that we operate and we use to experience the third dimension or physical density. Our true “essence” however, is a focal point of the One – a unique facet of Source Energy.We are either awake to the true nature of who we are, or we are asleep. The majority of people in the world are asleep because they identify with their separate-self, or ego. And here’s the rub – we identify with our body and therefore believe the thoughts and the emotions of the body are ours as well! But, they are indeed the thoughts and emotions of the body-mind and not our True-Self.
When we can raise our consciousness, or in Law of Attraction terms – raise our vibrations ─ we are then able to access our creative power. We remember our connection to All-That-Is; we tune-in to All-Possibility and consciously identify with that unlimited part of us – our true nature: children of God with the same creative abilities!
Most people are identifying with their body/ego consciousness. They believe they are separate and disconnected from everyone and everything. They believe their programming and the sensory information they receive by the eyes, ears, nose, touch, and taste. They believe the thoughts and emotions of the body’s mind as true reality, when in fact it is only an illusion – a limited perception of All-That-Is and All-Possibility.
The majority of people identify with their personalities which are made up of the way we think, how we feel, and what we do. When someone ‘awakens’, the Soul can start to control the thoughts, emotions, and actions (and perceptions) of the physical body. Until then, the billions of people on the planet operate on default programming and consequently create their lives by default. Our beliefs and programming control our destiny and understanding this is the real secret to deliberately using the Law of Attraction. (Continued in part 2)
